2009 Benelli Tornado Tre 1130
A frame designed and developed for racing meets a never ending engine.With a power and torque perfectly suited to the frame characteristics this bike is destined for elite motorcyclists with high demands.The Tornado’s frame has been completely revised to meet the new power and torque characteristic of the engine, without loosing any input from the original Tornado project. This is one of the characterizing features of the Tornado. 50% of the weight is distributed to the front chassis of the bike in all riding conditions.The advantage being increased precision when riding and when entering bends.The shock absorber and the links have benefitted from recent racing experience.The measurements have been slightly modified to make the frame easier to manage adapting it to the new increased power and torque values.Some small improvements,for example the welding system and tube assembly are now more accurate.The aluminum plates have been modified to make the Tornado 1130 more enjoyable and satisfying to ride.

We live on the same horizon, but we have different views.That’s Benelli’s answer to the riders who go further !

First of all, anyone who tries to convince you that you need an engine that is almost exactly the same displacement as a Fiat Panda, which is a five door car which shuttles five fully grown adults around anywhere in Europe, in order to go off road riding should have their head examined. It's absolute lunacy to take a 1131 cc engine off a paved road. Having said that, if I was riding across the world, or at least on the Panamericana, this is the motorcycle that I would most likely choose. The Benelli Tre-K 1130 Amazonas is a gigantic, mega powerful, and a real handful, but there most likely isn't a challenge anywhere on the planet that it couldn't just motor through. I also adore the look of the bike, with the paint scheme finding the proper balance between modernity and purposefulness. It's one helluva bike!

This bike is driven by a mighty 1131 cc, water cooled, 3 - cylinders in line engine with a bore and stroke of 88 mm x 62 mm and a compression ratio of 11.9:1 which grants the motorcycle a stupendous 125 horsepower (90.5 kW). When we consider the total weight of the motorcycle being 458 pounds (208 Kg.), and factor it into the beefy horsepower on tap we get a sum of 3.72 pounds per horsepower, a figure that is quite close to the power to weight ratio of a Chevrolet Corvette ZR1.

2009 Buell Firebolt XB12R

The original Buell sportfighter, the Buell Firebolt XB12R has evolved into one of the most versatile sportbikes on any road or track today. The Firebolt is known for the precise handling provided by a 52-inch wheelbase, 21-degree rake and 3.3-inch trail. Combining agility with the performance of an American-made Thunderstorm 45-degree, air-cooled 1203 cc V-Twin engine, the Firebolt delivers both character and performance. The blacked-out Thunderstorm engine produces 103 peak horsepower at 6800 rpm, and 84 ft. lbs. of peak torque at 6000 rpm, with 85 percent of peak torque available over 2500 rpm. The Buell InterActive Exhaust system utilizes a valve in the dual-chamber muffler that is controlled by the ECM and adjusts exhaust flow according to riding conditions to smooth torque delivery and optimize engine power.

The 2009 Firebolt has enhanced braking performance from the Buell ZTL2 front brake, a four-pad, eight-piston system also used on the 1125R and originally developed for the Buell XBRR race motorcycle. Three-zone Pirelli Diablo Corsa III tires are also now standard equipment on the Firebolt. Up front, the Firebolt features a fully adjustable Showa inverted fork, while the rear is equipped with an adjustable Showa shock. The Veyance Hibrex drive belt with Flexten Plus technology, based on the belt developed for the Buell 1125R, is strong and durable while weighing about four pounds less than a chain drive. The Firebolt comes with clip-on-style handlebars for optimal control, an aerodynamic quarter-fairing with dual projector-beam headlamps, and a covered trim passenger pillion. New colors include Midnight Black with Cherry Bomb translucent wheels and Arctic White with Hero Blue translucent wheels, with color-match translucid windscreen. A Streetfighter for the middle-weight class, the CityX was designed especially for the urban environment. The quick-revving nature and broad power band of the Buell Thunderstorm 984 V-Twin engine lets the CityX pull briskly away from traffic and acceleration past pesky cabs, while an upright rider position, wide Supermoto-style handlebars and intuitive handling help the CityX scat around potholes and dodge through back alleys. A new saddle shape for 2009 drops the seat height by 1.3 inches to 30.1 inches. Hand deflectors, dual headlight grilles, and frame pucks fend off minor cosmetic damage.
